From Mind to Medium
Project Brief
From Mind to Medium is the guiding principle behind MangoSalt. It focuses on the journey from concept to execution, encouraging exploration across different art styles and creative mediums. Artists are given a prompt and invited to interpret it through their own practice, creating work that reflects their perspective and chosen medium. Central to this process is showcasing artists within our communities and documenting how their ideas evolve, capturing each artist’s creative process as their work moves from mind to medium.

How to Kill a Poet
Ellen Fishbien
Kill her with disparity
Kill her with despair
Kill her with the thousand shocks
to which flesh is heir
Kill her with brutality
Kill her with red tape
Build a deep surveillance state
no one can escape
Kill her like an animal
Kill her in the street
Kill her like a cannibal
Kill her while you eat
Kill your poet all these ways; then, if still alive,
kill her with the loss of love —that she’ll not survive.
